About Reclaim Our Heritage

“…proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof…”- Leviticus 25:10

Empowering citizens to take back their government!

Are you tired of petty political debate? Are you tired of politicians working for reelection instead of the people? Had enough of Washington’s excuses? Disgusted with a government that at times seems to forget the principles of our heritage of freedom? We are too.

The mission of Reclaim Our Heritage is to empower citizens to take back a government that too often ignores the principles of our founding. It is our desire to help you become more informed and more involved in the great experiment of liberty.

We hope that this website will be a tool for you to use. In this site you will find news, opinion, and analysis of current issues. More than that however, we hope that the information we provide and the tools that we give you will allow you to take action on the issues most important to you.

If our country is to go forward, we are going to have to instill within ourselves a passion for liberty, an understanding of our principles, and a desire to be more fully engaged in the governing process. As a nation we cannot survive if we don’t understand who we are, what we believe in, and were we are going. We must understand that what we do today will impact those around us and those after us, either for better or for worse.

We must once again realize that such a thing as moral absolutes exist and that sound policy must follow those absolutes. The modern American conservative movement is not a new idea, but that it is a wonderful return to the first principles that are the bedrock of our society.

To reclaim our heritage we must look back to our history and find inspiration and courage, we must look upward to God and find strength and guidance, and then we must move forward for the future!

What We Believe:

  • History affirms that America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and it is this reliance on eternal, absolute principles that has made America great and will allow us to once again go forward for freedom.
  • The ultimate end of government should be to secure to all men the free exercise of their unalienable rights. Government should govern as little as possible but, if a people cannot govern themselves, then they must submit to increased government regulation.
  • With something so large and complex as an economy, we believe that free markets and individual choices provide the best form of price controls. The freedom of individuals to own property and make their own production and consumption choices has been proven to be the surest way to a robust and healthy economic state.
  • The safest repository of freedom is in the hands of an educated and informed citizenry. When a nation is founded on the rule of law then the people have a right to elect those who make the laws governing their actions.

“If we forget what we did, we won’t know who we are. I’m warning of an eradication of the American memory that could result, ultimately, in an erosion of the American spirit.”–Ronald Reagan
